“Thank you so much for the compassion and hospitality you two have shown our family this past weekend. Words cannot describe how it made us feel. You both truly care about the military and it shows both in your words and your actions. It has been an honor to have been able to come up here and just sit back and relax. It was awesome that Kuko called you grandma and grandpa...that shows what kind of atmosphere that takes place at the retreat. Again, thank you for everything”.

“We cannot thank you both enough for the kindness you have shown to us these last several days. It was so wonderful meeting you and talking all about everything! Being able to relax and just enjoy spending time as a family this weekend has been priceless. I can’t remember the last time we all just sat down as a family and played games. After this weekend it’s a refreshing feeling in that I/we feel so much connected and together as a family. Please keep in touch! We cannot wait to help out with your organization”!

“Thank you for everything you’ve done for us, this time allowed me to spend time with her, real time, without worry of work or anything els. Getting to see this beautiful part of California is the greatest gift anyone could give us. In all my years in the military no one has ever done something this sweet. I can’t wait to spread the word about what the two of you and all of your supporters do up here. It’s a reminder that there are great people and that they still care about the military.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts”.

“Thank you for giving our family the chance to reconnect with each other. Just in the small amount of days being up here, you guys have become part of our family. You remind me of my mom in many ways. Even though she is not with us anymore, we feel like she is with us through you. Our kids have gained another “Mimi” and grandpa. The world needs more people like you and your supporters. You continue to put others in front. You play a vital role for our military and for my family. We hope to see you again”.

“Thank you seems hardly enough for the generous and warm hospitality you extended to us. You were our hosts when we first pulled in the driveway, but we leave as friends. Know that your benevolent hearts are both a blessing and an inspiration.  Our (7) children will never forget the family time you offered us the opportunity here at the lake house as we embark on our exciting re-entry to civilian life, nor will we.  We leave you with a blessing and a promise… May the work of your hands reach those in need and return ten-fold. May your efforts be continually met beyond expectations and may your examples of service and self- sacrifice inspire those who have the blessed providence to meet you along life’s journey. We promise to keep in touch until we meet again.
